FAQs

  • The Flour Box is open for walk-ins on Thursdays-Sundays, from 10AM until sellout. Everything is first come first serve.

Expect to come earlier for the largest selection. We tend to sell out of donuts close to 12:30PM most days, and there is usually a line before we open. We recommend planning accordingly.

We rotate our donut flavors every 2-3 weeks and offer four flavors at a time. Check our full menu for an updated list. Coffee/drinks are still available after we sell out of donuts, until 12:30PM.

  • The rumors are true. We tend to have lines before opening time (10AM). While we don’t recommend creating a big line before opening, we understand that demand creates the urgency to do so.

A few people have come as early as 7AM… some arrive around 8AM… most show up at 9AM onward. Every single morning is different and we haven’t found a pattern yet. Take what you will from this information!

  • We accept and prefer card payments, as well as Apple Pay, Google Pay, and CashApp. We can accept cash, but please note that we do not carry or provide change.

  • We currently accept special orders for our whole Basque cheesecakes and for large quantities of donuts (24 donut minimum). Click here to inquire about ordering.

  • No. Quality is extremely important to us, and since our products are made without preservatives, softeners, stabilizers, and the like, they will not hold up well through shipping. We would never sacrifice quality for convenience. We hope you’ll be able to visit us in Seattle sometime!

  • We only recommend enjoying these donuts fresh on the day they are made. The sooner the better! As mentioned, we care about quality and cannot recommend saving them for later — or worse, for the next day. Saving them compromises their taste and texture. It is also unsafe to keep cream and custard fillings out for long periods of time.

Our other products like brownies and cheesecake keep well, covered in the refrigerator. These can be enjoyed cold or at room temp.

  • All of our donut dough, cookies, and brownies contain eggs and butter. Donut fillings usually contain cream, and sometimes eggs as well.

Other allergen info: we fry our donuts in non-GMO rice bran oil. Our cookies contain trace amounts of almond. Otherwise we do not use nuts unless our current menu specifically mentions them. We are not a nut-free bakery. We do not offer any vegan baked goods at the moment.

  • No, we do not rent out our space for events.

  • Yes, of course! If you pledged for a punch card or a free donut + coffee, please come in to the bakery and have proof of your pledge ready for confirmation (an email or screenshot will work). If you pledged for a “donut reservation,” please email us at theflourboxseattle@gmail.com and we can help you set up a pickup date. Thank you for your support!
